Environmental engineering – Itajubá/MG

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the Environmental Management System (EMS), in accordance with ISO 14001 standards, by planning, developing and controlling the established action plans and processes for environmental licenses, grants and the like, with public bodies.
• Drawing up, implementing and training the company in environmental procedures and instructions and carrying out waste management, monitoring and controlling the documentation of transporters and final recipients.
• Keeping track of environmental monitoring (effluents, atmospheric emissions, drinking water, artesian wells, etc.).
• Carrying out technical support services for innovation activities, by setting up and maintaining installations or equipment intended for carrying out research, development or technological innovation projects.
• Monitoring suppliers’ environmental documentation and carrying out on-site technical visits to their facilities.
• Giving opinions and participating in specifications for the acquisition of substances and equipment whose handling, storage, transportation or operation may present environmental risks.

• Providing support in assessing and complying with legal requirements relating to the EMS by identifying, analyzing, developing and controlling action plans appropriate to the environmental dimensions for which they are responsible.
• Inspecting activities in production processes in order to minimize environmental impacts through structured technical assessment and Drawing up technical reports and graphs relating to the EMS.
• Drawing up and monitoring environmental programs (Water, Waste, Soil, among others), applying engineering knowledge, as well as defining the related objectives and targets.

Requirements

• Full university degree in Environmental Engineering.
• Active CREA registration.
• Previous experience in the position.
• Solid knowledge of current environmental legislation.
• Proficiency in Portuguese (verbal, writing and reading).
• Advanced English (will be assessed at interview).
