Responsabilidades

Coordinate and provide functional guidance to Health & Safety professionals across multiple countries (Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico), ensuring alignment with corporate standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Influence regional HSE teams, coordinating activities across different business units and geographies without direct reporting lines.
Drive harmonization of safety processes, tools, and performance metrics across Latin America.
Act as the regional focal point for HSE, interfacing with global stakeholders and ensuring consistent deployment of corporate initiatives.
Apply Lean principles through the Volvo Performance System (VPS) to drive continuous improvement in Health & Safety processes, systems, and performance.
Conduct frequent travel across Latin America (Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico) to perform HSE audits, site assessments, and ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as a subject matter expert in safety engineering, providing guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Production, Environmental, Mechanical or related field).
Postgraduate studies or certifications in Occupational Health & Safety Engineering.
Relevant experience in Health & Safety Engineering, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments and especially in multinational companies.
Experience with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
Availability and willingness to travel frequently across Latin America.
Experience in risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation and audits.
Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management.
Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / Six Sigma is a plus).
High level of ownership and accountability.
Ability to work independently in a complex environment.
