Seed production lead – Toledo/PR

Responsabilidades

• Lead teams in research seed production activities, including planting, sampling, screening, hand pollination, and harvesting.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align the delivery schedule of seeds produced in Toledo, ensuring timely support for projects.
• Support the recruitment and hiring of temporary staff to support seasonal operations, ensuring timely onboarding and alignment with labor needs.
• Perform administrative tasks related to demand forecasting, resource planning, and timeline control, working effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Develop and implement quality management protocols, safety procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in accordance with company standards.
• Actively participate in the Safety Program, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies, while promoting a culture of safety among colleagues.

Requisitos

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Biology, or related fields. A Master’s degree is required; a Ph.D. is considered a strong asset.
• At least three years of experience in nursery seed production.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver quick data turnaround with accuracy.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead teams effectively.
• Solid knowledge of computer systems, and software tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Valid driver’s license (Category B or higher).
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Residence in or near Toledo, Parana, is required.
